Gus Ipul said the permitting mechanism during emergency situations such as disasters is different from conditions in normal times.

“In an emergency situation, we respect and respect anyone who collects funds from the community and distributes them directly to those who need them. So there is no need to go through processes that might be carried out during normal situations,” said Gus Ipul, quoting hitclubapk3Indonesia TV, Friday (12/12).
He said that in emergency situations such as disasters, donation raisers can collect donations first.

“In a disaster situation, you can donate directly. Then get permission and report later,” he said.
On a different occasion, he explained that donations within the regional scope in the city/district area only need to be submitted to the social service.
Meanwhile, for donations at the national level, you can register a fundraising permit with the Ministry of Social Affairs by including a recommendation from the Social Service.
Apart from permits, Gus Ipul said that there are other provisions that accompany fundraising or donations.The provision is that an audit is held.For fundraising with a value of less than IDR 500 million, an internal audit is sufficient.
Meanwhile, for fundraising amounts of more than IDR 500 million, you must involve a public accountant and submit the report to the Ministry of Social Affairs.
He emphasized that this was important.One of them is increasing the credibility of social institutions/movements and increasing the public’s sense of trust that their donations have reached the right hands.
“What is all this for? So that there is collective accountability by all of us, and we know what has been done. For the community, they will be happier because the money that is distributed, the money that is donated is used well and given to the people who deserve it,” he said.
