not just a religious celebration, but a momentum to maintain care and solidarity in social life.
He invited all religious communities to maintain unity and strengthen social harmony in building a just and civilized Indonesia.
“In the midst of various national challenges, Christmas reminds us that faith must be manifested in real concern for others. Solidarity, empathy and brotherhood are the main forces in maintaining the integrity of the nation,” said Nasaruddin while attending the Christmas Celebration at the Most Sacred Heart of Mary Cathedral Church, Manado, Wednesday (24/12) yesterday.

He reminded that amidst the joy of Christmas today, there are our brothers and sisters who are being tested by various calamities and natural disasters.
“Make the momentum of Christmas to strengthen social solidarity beyond the barriers of differences,” he said.
At the moment of Christmas 2025, Nasaruddin also invited all Christians to maintain their commitment to caring for the environment which is the responsibility of the faith of religious communities.
Nasaruddin also hopes that Christmas 2025 will bring new hope for the welfare of the people, starting from the smallest unit, namely the family.
“Every family is invited to make environmental conservation a lifestyle, let’s start with small steps, reduce plastic waste, plant trees in the home environment, and save energy as a form of gratitude for God’s creation,” he said.
Bishop of Manado Msgr.Benedict Estephanus Rolly Untu said Nasaruddin’s presence reflected the state’s attention and concern for the lives of religious communities.
“This is strengthening for us that the Church and government work together in building a religious life that is harmonious and full of love,” said Benedictus.
