said that his party is currently still focused on opening access at several affected points
flood
and landslide in
North Sumatra
and Aceh.
Dody admitted that a number of points in the two provinces are currently still impassable.
“While in Aceh there are also several points that we have not yet opened, we are also focusing on Aceh. So Aceh and North Sumatra are our focus today,” said Dody after canceling a meeting at Commission V of the DPR, Tuesday (2/12).

He said efforts to open access were still hampered by field conditions. In Aceh, for example, the water level is still 80 centimeters (cm).As a result, heavy equipment still cannot be deployed to the location.
“The route is not yet 100 percent open, because for example Aceh, there was still 80 cm of water last morning. So not 100 percent of the heavy equipment can enter,” he said.
According to Dody, the team is still working on opening access in a number of priority areas. In Sibolga, North Sumatra, access can only be reached by small cars and motorbikes, so trucks and heavy equipment cannot yet pass.
Therefore, at this time, continued Dody, his party will prioritize connectivity between regions so that aid can be distributed evenly.
“I think the main focus is opening all areas where today all land connectivity is not yet open, that was before, that was the priority, because there are several places that are still being dropped from the air today, that is what is being focused on, and it is still half dead,” he said.
