and landslides in Sumatra.The Ministry of Forestry has again sealed 3 legal subjects.
“We will continue to carry out this sealing against forest destroyers. As was my promise to the people which was conveyed in front of Commission IV of the DPR RI. So anyone who destroys forests will be dealt with,” said Raja Juli quoting

Raja Juli revealed that the Ministry of Forestry previously sealed 4 locations suspected of contributing to floods and landslides in Sumatra.Where two locations are under concessions owned by corporations and two locations are managed by Land Rights Holders (PHAT) outside the forest area.

“We have no compromise. Whether it is corporations or PHATs that are proven to be destroying Indonesia’s forests, we will take action. As is the commitment I have conveyed to the DPR, strict law enforcement without discrimination,” he explained.
Previously, the Ministry of Forestry sealed four legal subjects.In total, there are already seven legal subjects that are sealed.Here are the details:
1. Two PT Toba Pulp Lestari concession areas in Marisi Village, Kec.East Angkola, Kab.South Tapanuli.
2. PHAT Jhon Ary Manalu in Pardomuan Village, District.Simangumban, Kab.North Tapanuli
3. PHAT Asmadi Ritonga in Dolok Sahut Village, District.Simangumban, Kab.North Tapanuli
4. PHAT David Pangabean in Simanosor Tonga Village, District.Saipar Dolok Hole, Kab.South Tapanuli.
Newly sealed:
5. Two PT Concession Areas.Agincourt Resource at Ramba Joring, Aek Pining Village, District.Batang Toru, Kab.South Tapanuli.
6. PHAT Jon Anson in Natambang Roncitan Village, District.Arse, Kab.South Tapanuli.
7. PHAT Mahmudin in Sombadebata Purba Village, District.Saipar Dolok Hole, Kab.South Tapanuli.
He said that his party, through Gakkum, was conducting an in-depth investigation into alleged forestry violations in the Batang Toru Watershed (DAS) area, North Sumatra.In-depth research was carried out by collecting evidence from wood samples and asking for information.
“With the sealing this time, 7 legal subjects have been sealed. There are still 5 other legal subjects identified and we will carry out further investigation. If it is proven that there has been a violation, we will not hesitate to immediately seal them,” he concluded.
