check the condition of the Elephant Training Center (PLG) Seblat Nature Tourism Park (TWA), Bengkulu.PLG TWA Seblat currently manages 10 individual elephants with an age range of 15-48 years.
Head of the Bengkulu-Lampung Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA), Himawan Sasongko, said that Raja Juli was the only minister who went directly to the Seblat Landscape.
According to him, the presence of a minister in the conservation area is a new history for elephant habitat management in Bengkulu.

“This is support for us to be able to work better, caring for and maintaining tame elephants at PLG Seblat and hopefully it can remain sustainable and become one unit with the Seblat Landscape to the north of PLG Seblat,” said Himawan in a written statement, Saturday (13/12).
During the visit, Raja Juli heard input provided by 14 mahouts and 4 veterinarians in Seblat.
Raja Juli continued his activities to see the active progress of the Seblat span operation which was carried out to save the Sumatran Elephant corridor.
For information, the Forest Area Control (PKH) task force has regained control of around 7,790 Ha of the total encroached area of around 8,500 Ha.
The Red and White Joint Operations Team has also destroyed around 17,200 palm oil trees, demolished 113 huts, destroyed 6 access bridges, and installed 80 prohibited iron signs.
A total of 2 heavy equipment was secured to the Bengkulu Gakkumhut Post, 12 perpetrators were arrested and 3 people were detained.
Himawan said the Minister of Forestry was focusing on saving the habitat of the Sumatran Elephant.
The Sumatran Elephant Corridor will later connect elephant pockets to expand animal movement and save the elephant population.Elephant conservation restoration or elephant corridors will begin in January.
“It is hoped that this can become a unified habitat and that it can support the preservation of our elephants in Bengkulu Province,” said Himawan.
