“(Land function expert) Bali is one of the dangerous ones. Why? Because Presidential Decree Number 12 of 2025 says that the LP2B target must be 87 percent of the total LBS (Raw Rice Fields). What is LP2B? Is it rice fields

, rice fields that cannot be tampered with for a lifetime,” said Nusron after the National Conference of the Indonesian Cadastral Survey Expert Society (Maski) in Sanur, Denpasar City, Bali, Tuesday (25/11).
“We are now putting a moratorium on changing the function of land. We are no longer allowed to change the function of land. Especially for LP2B, sustainable food farming land absolutely cannot be changed,” he said.
Nusron assesses that LP2B in Bali is still far from statutory provisions. He will immediately take action by gathering regional heads in Bali.
“I will emphasize that those whose rice fields have been converted into non-rice fields must be returned to rice fields. This is mandatory,” he said.
Previously, the Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov) was preparing a Regional Regulation Draft (Raperda) to control the massive land conversion occurring on the Island of the Gods.
Head of the Agriculture and Food Security Service (Kadistan) of Bali Province, I Wayan Sunada, said that land conversion in Bali has averaged 1,254 hectares per year in the last five years.
Then, data on the area of rice fields on the island of Bali currently reaches 68,078 hectares.
“Let’s try to imagine. As the years go by, our land decreases, there is a change in function,” he said, when he was a speaker at the launch event of the ‘Sapatani Application and Dissemination of Digital Solutions Project Research Results’ in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday (11/11).
