will intervene in disputes over the dualism of sports management if consensus cannot be found by January 2026.
Erick conveyed this intention when he met with the General Chair of Central KONI, Marciano Norman, at the Central KONI Office, Central Jakarta, Thursday (4/12) afternoon.
“So, in accordance with my letter to KOI and KONI, I am providing an opportunity for deliberation and consensus. That’s how it is, our nation is about deliberation and consensus, not continuous voting,” said Erick.

“Well, there, we’ll see the context this December. Then in January, if it doesn’t work, then the government will try to come in again,” he explained.
Erick actually doesn’t want to get involved and hopes that the dispute can be resolved by the opposing parties.However, Erick had no choice but to rush in if the word peace did not come.
“KONI, KOI, it’s not a big sports family, if the big family deliberates and reaches a consensus, it should work. That’s how it is. But, if it can’t, then we will intervene,” he said.
“But, intervention is not because of power, but because of something that must be corrected. Yes, and discussions have been opened for deliberation and consensus,” said Erick.
Currently there are four sports administrators who experience dualism, namely table tennis, boxing, fencing and sepak takraw.Until now there has been no bright spot for reconciliation between the conflicting parties.
