This visit was carried out at the same time as the flood and landslide disaster management that hit a number of areas in West Sumatra, including Padang Pariaman.
Chairman of Commission IV DPRD Padang Pariaman, TK Afredison, said that the application for this kunker had been requested long ago.He said, about a month ago.
“But some (members of Commissions I and IV) were left out, who can be left out. But it’s not good that we’ve already received a letter, it’s not a good thing (kunker) isn’t that good, right?”Afredison said after the meeting.
Afredison claims, the legislature did not let go and took part in handling the flash flood disaster that hit Padang Pariaman Regency since Saturday (22/11) yesterday.Meanwhile, the agenda for this work visit has been scheduled or determined through the local DPRD Deliberation Body (Bamus) until Saturday (6/12).
“So there are those who leave, there are those who stay there. We divide them up. From the commission we only have two people left (not taking part in the kunker),” he added.
According to Afredison, in Padang Pariaman there are three to four sub-districts affected by flooding which is in the severe category. He ensured that everything had been handled by the regional and central governments and related elements, including anticipating post-flood diseases, smooth delivery of medical assistance and logistics.
“But what is called an impact is a broken bridge, or an impact. But in essence the government has taken everything down. From the center everything has come down,” he said.
“Basically, all regional governments, NGOs, DPRD, have all stepped in,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Protocol and Communications Section for the Sleman Regency Government, Rohmiyanto, meanwhile said that requests for work visits from two Padang Pariaman Regency DPRD commissions were submitted at two different times.
Rohmi said, Commission I submitted an official application letter on November 18 2025.Meanwhile, Commission IV was dated December 28 November 2025 and the letter was received by the Sleman Regency Government three days later.
“The acceptance (of the second commission’s work) is one,” Rohmi told reporters.
