amendment to the Constitution
Republic of Indonesia in 1945 (UUD 45) when meeting and discussing with the President
Prabowo Subianto
at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday (2/12).
However, Muzani has not been able to reveal the contents of his discussions with the President regarding the amendment plan.Muzani said the Indonesian MPR would meet the President officially to discuss this matter.

“It was touched on briefly, there must be a little more discussion. Yes, it was touched on, but not in depth,” said Ahmad Muzani in response to journalists’ questions when met at the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Tuesday.
“We will discuss (again, ed.) later, the MPR will meet him officially in person. This is just afternoon tea,” continued Muzani.
At the Indonesian Presidential Palace, Muzani and President Prabowo discussed several issues, including plans to amend UUD 45.
In the same meeting, President Prabowo also talked about his working visit to three provinces in Sumatra that were affected by flash floods and landslides, namely in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
The plan to amend UUD 45 has been discussed after being voiced on a number of occasions by several council members over the last few years, including this year.
Ahmad Muzani, at the commemoration of Constitution Day and the 80th Anniversary of the MPR RI, emphasized that if amendments to the Constitution are to be carried out, they must be carried out carefully and cannot be instantaneous.
