Marc Klok shows off the secret of greatness

The Persib vs Lion City Sailors duel on the fifth matchday of Group G ACL 2 2025/2026 took place at Bishan Stadium, Wednesday (26/11).
This match will determine Persib’s fate in qualifying for the last 16 of ACL 2. Maung Bandung only needs a draw in this match to advance to the knockout rounds.

In the press conference before the match, Marc Klok showed off the secret of Persib’s strength this season.In the 2025/2026 season, Persib is in third place in the Indonesia Super League standings and is entering the competition for the title.
Meanwhile, in ACL 2, Persib is at the top of Group G with 10 points from 4 matches.According to Klok, the secret to Persib’s greatness lies in coach Bojan Hodak.
“I think the secret is the person next to me (Bojan Hodak). Maybe he can tell me more about the secret, I don’t know,” said Klok answering a question about the secret of Persib’s regional and domestic strength.
“We just have good team chemistry and quality. As you know, we have experienced a lot of changes. Last year we were good, this season we have risen and become stronger,” added Klok.
Even so, Klok does not deny whether a team is good or not, it starts with management.This is also what the naturalized player thinks happened to Prince Biru.
“Everything starts with the management team. After that you will get quality and individuals who can change the game,” said Klok.
Another factor that makes the defending Super League champions solid is the good harmony within the team.
“In a good working environment, and I think that’s what we created, and we’re still improving it day by day,” Klok said.
Persib’s condition could be a threat to the host Lion City Sailors.The reason is, by avoiding defeat, Persib will advance to the round of 16 and can close down Lion City’s chances.
If they fail to win this match, Lion City’s chances of going to the ACL 2 knockout round will be closed.
