This was conveyed by the Consular for Economic Affairs of the South Korean Embassy to Indonesia Kim Chanwoo at the FPCI discussion event entitled APEC at the Crossroads: Building Bridges for Regional Growth, Jakarta, last Monday (13/10).
“So, of course we, Korean companies, have an interest in the project,” said Kim in a discussion which was part of the Indonesia Next Generation Journalist Network on Korea program by FPCI and the Korea Foundation.

Not only that, Kim said that Korean companies are also interested in carbon credit storage or transfer projects in Indonesia.
Kim said recently that South Korean companies were taking an interest in green projects and renewable energy.
Therefore, he said that Korean companies would be interested in Danantara’s waste to energy project.
“The waste-to-energy processing project is one area of ​​renewable energy, so Korean companies will definitely be interested,” he said.
At the same time, Deputy for Investment Cooperation at the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming/BKPM Tirta Nugraha Mursitama also mentioned that many companies had committed to taking part in working on the waste to energy project.
BPI Danantara is working on a waste to energy project.Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani said on (6/11) that the program was included in the investor recruitment process.
He said there were around 240 potential investors who were interested in investing in the program.
“Next week we will open the bidding process. Bidding means submitting the bid. That will start the process of providing data and we will start the bid next week. Because of the seven, the land availability already exists,” said Rosan at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Thursday (6/11).
Rosan also said that so far there are seven areas that have the potential to become groundbreaking locations for the program.
He said the seven regions had received approval from the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan and the Minister for the Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
Rosan said that this project would be accompanied by advanced technology.Where waste in the processing process no longer needs to be separated.
He said processing waste without needing to classify it was different from today’s process.
