These punishments are thought to make FAM sponsors worried, some even want to withdraw.FAM denied these rumors, including reports that Bank Islam would no longer be their main sponsor.
“Bank Islam has indeed contacted us and wants to know what really happened. So far, we are continuing as usual and there has been no final decision,” said FAM Acting President Mohd Yusoff Mahadi, quoted from
Metro
.
“For now, they have not taken any drastic decisions and prefer to see how this case ends before determining their next steps,” Yusoff added.
According to Yusoff, to make things clearer, FAM needs to resolve this issue through a decision by the Sports Arbitration Court (FAM).Yusoff also emphasized that no FAM sponsor has withdrawn so far.
“That’s why I emphasize, we need to carry out this process to the end. As long as the CAS decision is not yet known, we cannot rush to conclusions,” said Yusoff.
“It’s all more about wanting to know the status and get certainty. Officially, there has been no decision to withdraw.”
