The police arrested the alleged perpetrator
shooting
against young people participating in a brawl to death in the villages of Borta and Sapiria, Tallo,
Makassar
, South Sulawesi (Sulsel).As a result of the shooting, 13 houses belonging to residents were also burned.
“Arrested one perpetrator, on behalf of CBT (35), a resident of Tallo District,” said South Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro, Wednesday (19/11).
He argued that the shooting incident was not reported to the police from the start, so the authorities were unable to take anticipatory steps.

“After the victim died, this information became known to the police, and after that, riots emerged in Tallo,” he said.
A brawl then broke out, Tuesday (18/11) in the Beroangin Cemetery area, Tallo District.The Sapiria youth group, Lembo Village, attacked the youth group in Lorong Borta.The clashes spread to Lorong Bugis, which is directly adjacent to the incident location, and residents’ houses were burned by the mob.
“13 houses in Lorong Bugis were burnt down,” he said.
Meanwhile, Djuhandhani said, the perpetrator has been detained at the Makassar Police for further investigation.
“Not only shooting cases, we are also taking action against perpetrators of house arson. Investigators from the South Sulawesi Regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit have arrested one arson suspect this morning, and the pursuit of the other perpetrators continues,” he concluded.
