He said that based on the results of the source mechanism analysis, the earthquake had an upward movement mechanism (thrust fault).
The vibrations from this earthquake had an impact and were felt in the Pohuwato area, Boalemo with an intensity scale of IV MMI, which means that during the day, it was felt by many people in the house.
Quite strong vibrations were also felt in Gorontalo, Bonebolango in Gorontalo Province, as well as two areas of Central Sulawesi, namely Buol and Tolitoli.The earthquake was felt on the MMI III intensity scale, which means that the vibrations were felt in the house as if a truck was passing by.
Then, earthquake vibrations were felt in the Gorontalo and North Gorontalo Regencies with an intensity scale of II-III MMI, which means that the vibrations were felt clearly in the house as if a truck was passing by.
Until now, BMKG has not found any aftershock activity.This earthquake did not have the potential to cause a tsunami wave.
