Jamie Redknapp doubts Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield after a series of less than convincing performances in the 2025/2026 season and the coach’s confidence is starting to fade.
Redknapp believes it will be difficult for Salah to survive if he is unable to perform consistently at Liverpool.

Salah actually signed a new contract last summer.However, the striker from Egypt is experiencing a difficult period.He has scored just four Premier League goals so far this season.
In the last two matches, Liverpool coach Arne Slot did not play Salah as a starter.The 33 year old player looked frustrated when he only appeared from the bench in the 1-1 draw against Sunderland at Anfield on Wednesday (3/12) night.
“It feels like something has to be sacrificed. Mo Salah will not be satisfied with just being a reserve player.
Whether it’s in January or the summer… I can only see the results like that,” said Redknapp.
Salah only played 45 minutes in the match against Sunderland.Redknapp believes the relationship between Salah and the Liverpool coach could be at crisis point.
“Once trust is betrayed, especially with someone like Mo, who needs the trust and love of a coach. I think the problem will reach its breaking point,” said Redknapp.
The draw left Liverpool in eighth place in the Premier League standings.Another former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, also expressed deep concern about the Reds’ performance.
“The performance was really worrying. It felt like a setback. They didn’t look like they were going to score. They lacked passion, energy, pace and strength. It was really worrying,” said Carragher.
