A total of eight national teams have ensured qualification for the round of 16
2025 U-17 World Cup
after winning in the top 32, Friday (14/11).
A total of eight matches were held in the first round of 32.The eight teams are: Mali, Portugal, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Republic of Ireland, Morocco and Brazil.
Of these eight matches, a surprise occurred when Argentina U-17 was eliminated by Mexico on Field 2 of the Aspire Zone.

The Argentina vs Mexico match ended in a 2-2 draw in normal time.The match was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, which Mexico won 5-4.
Mali U-17 won the ‘African derby’ in this round after beating Zambia 3-1.Portugal beat Belgium 2-1.
Switzerland overthrew the African representatives with a 3-1 win.Meanwhile, France crushed South America’s representative, Colombia, 2-0.
Apart from the Argentina vs Mexico duel, two other matches in the round of 32 of the 2025 U-17 World Cup also ended in penalty shootouts.One of them was Ireland who beat Kanasa 9-8 after a 1-1 draw.
Brazil faced stiff resistance from another Latin American team, Paraguay.The match ended 0-0.But the Samba Team won on penalties 5-4.
