Apart from Moh Zaki Ubaidillah who lost in the round of 32, four Red and White representatives were able to defeat their opponents and advance to the next phase.
Alwi Farhan knocked out host representative Takuma Obayashi with a score of 21-15 and 21-10.Next, the eighth seed will face veteran badminton player from Taiwan, Wang Tzu Wei.

In the women’s singles sector, Indonesia has two representatives, namely Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung.
Dhinda made a surprise by defeating sixth seed Busanan Ongbamrungphan.The 21-15, 13-21 and 23-21 wins took Dhinda to the last 16 and will meet Japan’s representative, Asuka Takahashi.
Jorji, who beat Hung Yi Ting with a score of 17-21, 21-9, and 21-18 in the first round, will also meet Japan’s representative, Hina Akechi.
Another representative representing Indonesia in the last 16 of the Kumamoto Masters 2025 is the women’s doubles pair Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
Apri/Fadia ended Sayaka Hirota/Haruna Konishi’s resistance with a score of 21-12 and 21-18.Next, Apri/Fadia will meet the host representatives who occupy the third seed, Yuki Fukushima/Mayu Matsumoto.
The round of 16 of the Kumamoto Masters 2025 will take place on Thursday (13/11).
