There are 17 ministries and government agencies that can now be occupied by
active member of the National Police

This is stated in National Police Regulation Number 10 of 2025 concerning Members of the Indonesian National Police Who Carry Out Duties Outside the Organizational Structure of the Indonesian National Police.

Based on Article 3 paragraph (1) of Polri Regulation 10/2025, the implementation of the duties of Polri members in domestic positions is carried out in ministries/institutions/agencies/commissions;and International Organizations or foreign country representative offices domiciled in Indonesia.
Furthermore, in Article 3 paragraph (3), the implementation of the duties of members of the National Police is carried out in managerial and non-managerial positions.
Meanwhile, in Article 3 paragraph (4), it is written that the position as referred to in paragraph 3 is a position in an agency or other agency which is related to police functions based on a request from a ministry/institution/agency/commission, international organization or representative office of a foreign country domiciled in Indonesia.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo made National Police Regulation Number 10 of 2025 concerning National Police Members Carrying Out Duties Outside the National Police Organizational Structure on Tuesday (9/12).
Polri Regulation 10/2025 allows Polri members to actively hold positions in a number of ministries or institutions.
This National Police Regulation was issued after the Constitutional Court granted the request to grant case number: 114/PUU-XXIII/2025 which was requested by Syamsul Jahidin (student/advocate) and Christian Adrianus Sihite (student).
They tested the constitutionality of the norms of Article 28 paragraph (3) and the Explanation of Article 28 paragraph (3) of Law 2/2002 concerning the Police (UU Polri).
Article 28 regulates that police officers can hold positions outside the National Police after resigning.
Meanwhile, in the explanation of Article 28, what is meant by a position outside the police is that it has no connection with the police or no assignment as the National Police Chief.
Constitutional Justice Ridwan Mansyur explained these two provisions in substance, that members of the National Police can only hold positions outside the police if they have resigned or retired from the police service.
“Substantially, these two provisions emphasize one important thing, namely that members of the National Police can only hold positions outside the police after resigning or retiring from the police service,” said Mansyur.
The following is a list of 17 ministries/institutions that can be occupied by active Polri members:

9. Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency
10. National Resilience Institute
11. Financial Services Authority
12. Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK)
13. National Narcotics Agency (BNN)
14. National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT)
15. State Intelligence Agency (BIN)
