Leonardo DiCaprio
admitted that he had never watched Titanic (1997), the film that made his name soar after playing the character Jack Dawson.
He expressed this when talking at the Actors on Actors event with Jennifer Lawrence from Variety and hitclubapk3 on Wednesday (17/12).

“Have you re-watched Titanic?”Lawrence asked.
“No,” answered Leonardo DiCaprio.
“Oh, you have to watch it,” replied Lawrence
“I’ve never watched it again,” DiCaprio continued
“I’m sure you can watch it now. The film is really good,” said Lawrence.
“I don’t really like watching my own films, maybe occasionally. Are you watching your films again?”asked DiCaprio.
“No. I have never made a film like Titanic, even if I had, I would definitely watch it again,” said Lawrence.
“When was the last time that happened?”asked DiCaprio.
“One time, when I was really high, I watched American Hustle. I thought, ‘can I really act?'”I watched it, and I don’t remember what the answer was,” Lawrence answered.

People said on Wednesday (17/12), although Leonardo DiCaprio admitted that he doesn’t really like watching his own films, he once admitted that there are films that he likes to watch over and over again.
The film is The Aviator (2004), a film starring DiCaprio and directed by Martin Scorsese based on a script written by John Logan.
When talking with director Paul Thomas Anderson, Leo said the film felt special because it involved a long and meaningful process.
“I rarely watch my films,” said DiCaprio, as reported by Esquire in August 2025. “But if I’m honest, there is one film that I watch more often than others, namely The Aviator.”
“It was simply because that moment was very special to me. I had worked with Marty [Scorsese] on Gangs of New York, and I had been carrying around books about Howard Hughes for 10 years,” he said.
“I was 30 years old. It was the first time as an actor that I really felt like I was part of the entire production, not just an actor hired to play a role,” said DiCaprio.
“I have always felt proud and connected to the film as an important part of my maturation process in the industry and my first time taking on the role of a true collaborator,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Titanic, starring DiCaprio and Kate Winslet and directed by James Cameron, is one of the best-selling films of all time.
“Titanic was really an experiment for Kate Winslet and I,” DiCaprio told Deadline in 2016. “We had done all these independent films. I loved Kate as an actress and she said, ‘Let’s do this together, we can do it.'”
“We did it, and it was something we never expected.”
