“The intention was to help and pity the child,” said Joni as quoted by Detik, Saturday (15/11).
The person who came to the Anak Dalam Tribe was named Merry Ana.He visited the pair Bengendang and Nerikai from the Temenggung Sikar group last Tuesday (4/11).
At that time Merry called Bilqis an abandoned child from a poor family so he asked Begendang and Nerikai to look after him.
Joni said that at that time Merry brought a piece of statement paper.However, the residents who were given the paper couldn’t read, so they just believed Merry’s story.
Apart from asking to take care of Bilqis, Merry also asked the couple for compensation of Rp. 85 million because he had been taking care of Bolqis all this time.
“We took care of Bilqis for a long time. We also had a hard time, instead of being left behind, if someone wanted to take care of it, it would cost us IDR 85 million,” said Joni, imitating Merry’s statement when handing over Bilqis.
The Begendang and Nerikai couple then agreed and took care of Bilqis.He then took care of her even though he already had five children.
This case was later revealed.Bilqis Ramadhani (4.5) was first reported missing while playing at Pakui Park, Makassar, South Sulawesi, when her father was playing tennis, Sunday (2/11).
Bilqis was apparently kidnapped and sold and changed hands.The young child was sold for IDR 3 million to a woman from Jakarta, then sold again to a different person for IDR 30 million in Jambi.He was finally sold again for IDR 80 million to the Anak Dalam Tribe.
The police have arrested SY (30), the woman who brought Bilqis from Makassar to Jakarta after paying Rp. 3 million.Someone from Jakarta with the initials NH (29) was then interested in buying it.
Victim of fraud
Meanwhile, the attorney for the Anak Dalam Tribe community, Jambi, Wahida Baharuddin Upa, suspects that his client was a victim of a child trafficking syndicate in the kidnapping case of Bilqis (4).
Wahida said from the start he only intended to adopt.Therefore, according to him, severe punishment should be given to Bilqis’ kidnappers.
“He thought maybe this was a method that was in accordance with legal procedures.”In fact, the person who deserves to be punished is of course the first perpetrator,” said Wahida after an audience at the DPR’s Community Aspiration Agency (BAM), Wednesday (12/11).
However, until now, Wahida admitted that he could not confirm whether the Anak Dalam tribe was the party who adopted Bilqis.He admitted that he was still waiting for information from the police.
Wahid explained that the Anak Dalam Tribe, Jambi generally has children.In fact, quite a few of them have many children.
