revealed there were four fingerprints on
duct tape
wrapped around the victim’s face.
“Yesterday, the conclusion was that there was no DNA from anyone other than Arya Daru. Earlier we were able to dig it up and it turned out there were four fingerprints,” said Arya’s family attorney, Martin Lukas Simanjuntak at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday (26/11)
Based on police information, of the four fingerprints on the duct tape, only one was worth examining and that was Arya’s.

Martin said investigators should have continued to examine the three other fingerprints on the duct tape.Remember, the duct tape is an important piece of evidence in this case.
“So concluding that there is no other person’s DNA by not examining the three fingerprints attached, this may also need to be further investigated in the future by investigators,” he said.
Likewise, another attorney, Nicolay Aprilindo, also assessed that examining the three fingerprints was an important part of the investigation into Arya’s death case.
“So the issue of fingerprints is a very crucial issue too. We also just found out that there were three fingerprints attached to the duct tape, but the ones that could be identified by inafis were only those of the deceased. The other three were not,” he said.
“Therefore, I asked whether the three that could not be identified belonged to whom? The deceased or someone else? Investigators said they could not answer that,” he continued.
Arya Daru was found dead with his head wrapped in duct tape at the Gondia Guest House boarding house, room 105, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil Number 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/7) at around 08.10 WIB.
Based on the results of an investigation by a joint team from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya, the police confirmed that Arya died not because of murder or a criminal act.However, it was due to suffocation and there was no criminal incident.
