A total of 11 victims
landslide disaster

Meanwhile, on Sunday (16/11), the team was still searching for at least 10 more landslide victims.
Previously, on Saturday (15/11), the joint SAR team managed to find eight landslide victims, so that per day the total number of dead victims found was 11 people.

The landslide disaster in Cilacap occurred last Thursday (13/11).The BMKG landslide was triggered by heavy rain which occurred for several days and caused the ground to become increasingly wet, making the slope vulnerable to movement.
On Saturday, the Head of the Cilacap SAR Office, Muhammad Abdullah, explained that on the third day of the operation, eight more victims were found at several search points.The first discovery occurred at 10.06 WIB in the name of Muhammad Dadi (9).
“Then at 10.44 WIB, we again found the victim named Nur Isnaini (30), and at 11.17 WIB the victim named Hasmanto was successfully evacuated. The three of them were found at Worksite A-2, so at that location there are still five victims who have not been found,” said Abdullah as quoted by

Then at 13.39 WIB, the team found Febriansyah (5) dead, followed by finding the bodies of Rizky Pratama (9) at 13.43 WIB and Dani Setiawan (29) at 13.45 WIB.
Then at 14.22 WIB, the SAR team found the victim, Satini (28), at Worksite A-3.Abdullah said, all the victims at Worksite A-3 had been found, so the area was declared clear.
Meanwhile, at Worksite A-1, the SAR team found Rusyanto (60) at 14.21 WIB.According to Abdullah, two victims are still missing at that location.
“This means that a total of eight deceased victims were successfully evacuated on the third day of the search operation,” he said.
With the addition of eight victims found on the third day, the total death toll from this landslide disaster was recorded at 11 people.
Abdullah said that the search process was temporarily stopped at 16.00 WIB because the weather did not permit it.The search will continue on Sunday (16/11) starting at 06.00 WIB, with a focus on two sectors, namely sector A and sector B.
Abdullah said that the team previously assigned to Worksite A-3 has now been diverted to strengthen the search at Worksites A-2 and B-2.
Based on the latest report, there are still five victims missing at Worksite A-2 and two victims at A-1.
“In sector A we will move to Worksite A-1 and A-2, while in sector B at Worksite B-1 and B-2. Worksite A-3 will no longer be searched because all the victims have been found,” he said.
