Land disaster
landslide
occurred in Situkung Village, Pandanarum, Banjarnegara, Central Java, on Saturday (15/11) at 16.00 WIB, causing one person to die and 480 residents to flee.
According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) and the Banjarnegara Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the resident who died was a 40 year old man named Klewih.He was found about 1 kilometer from the landslide point.

Two other residents are said to be still in the process of being evacuated by the joint team, while two others are said to have suffered injuries and were then referred to the BNA Regional Hospital and the Pandanarum Community Health Center.
Currently there are 180 families or 480 people who have taken refuge in the Pandanarum District Office.
This landslide was caused by heavy rain that occurred in Situkung Village and caused the cliff to collapse and hit the residents’ plantation and rice fields.
The incident took place during the Emergency Alert Status period for Landslides, Strong Winds, Extreme Weather and Floods as determined by Banjarnegara Regent’s Decree Number 300.2/871/TAHUN 2025 effective from 28 October 2025 to 31 May 2026.
Around 20 houses were affected and rice fields and plantations were damaged.So far data collection is still being carried out to ascertain the condition of the affected areas.
BPBD Banjarnegara has set up a field post, public kitchen and refugee tents in the Pandanarum District Office area.
“BNPB urges the public to remain alert to the potential for further landslides, stay away from slope areas and vulnerable points, and follow instructions from the BPBD and local authorities. Affected residents are asked to remain in evacuation locations until conditions are declared safe,” said Abdul Muhari, Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, in his official broadcast, Sunday (16/11).
