Lando Norris
officially became the 2025 Formula 1 (F1) champion after finishing third in the 2025 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit, Sunday (7/12).
The podium was enough for Norris to lock in the 2025 F1 title. Max Verstappen, who won the Abu Dhabi F1 GP, was in second place in F1 2025, while Oscar Piastri was in third place.
In the 2025 F1 final standings, Lando Norris narrowly won over Max Verstappen, namely only two points ahead.

In qualifying for the 2025 Abu Dhabi F1 GP, Norris started second behind Verstappen.However, his brave and fearless action at Yas Marina saw Norris take third place.
The podium was enough for the 26-year-old racer to seal the championship and give him a dramatic win over Vertappen.
With Norris winning the championship title, McLaren is champion again for the first time after the last time in 2020, at that time with Lewis Hamilton.
Norris became the 11th British driver to win Formula 1 after Hamilton, Jenson Button, and Damon Hill.
This title was also a long wait for Lando Norris who had to wait until the seventh season to become champion.
Since joining McLaren and racing in F1 in 2019, Norris’ previous best achievement was finishing runner up in F1 2024.
