Corruption Eradication Commission
) searched the official residence of the Acting Governor of Riau SF Hariyanto today, Monday (15/12).
Investigators are looking for additional evidence regarding the alleged case of extortion and/or receiving gratuities that ensnared Riau Governor Abdul Wahid and his friends.
“It’s true, the team is carrying out an active search at the official residence of SFH, the Acting Governor of Riau,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when confirmed via written message, Monday (15/12).

“(The search) is related to the investigation into a case of alleged acts of extortion and gratification within the Riau Provincial Government which began with activities caught red-handed in early November,” he continued.
Prior to this, on 10-12 November 2025, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had already searched the Riau Governor’s Office, the Office of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Settlement and Land Areas (PUPR PKPP), the Office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), and several houses whose owners were not disclosed.
The Education Service office was also searched on November 13 2025.
From all these places, investigators confiscated a number of documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE) related to shifts in the Riau Provincial Government’s budget.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named the Governor of Riau Abdul Wahid, Dani M. Nursalam as Abdul Wahid’s Expert, and the Head of the PUPR PKPP Service for Riau Province M. Arief Setiawan as suspects in a case of alleged extortion and/or receiving gratuities.
Abdul Wahid et al have been detained at the KPK State Detention Center (Rutan).
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e and/or Article 12 letter f and/or Article 12B of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
