The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially determined
Regent of Ponorogo
Sugiri Sancoko (SUG) as a suspect in the alleged bribery case.
The alleged bribery that ensnared Sugiri Sancoko included managing positions, work projects at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Dr.Harjono Ponorogo, as well as other money receipts within the Ponorogo Regency Government, East Java.
“The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) has named a suspect, namely SUG as Regent of Ponorogo for the 2021-2025 and 2025-2030 periods,” said Acting (Plt.) Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK’s Red and White Building, Jakarta, early Sunday morning (9/11) WIB.

Asep Guntur explained that the determination of Sugiri as a suspect was carried out after an intensive investigation and the discovery of elements of suspected corruption.
Prior to the determination of this suspect, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) had confirmed Sugiri’s arrest on November 7 2025 regarding alleged criminal acts of corruption in transfers and rotation of positions.
This sting operation (OTT) against Sugiri is the seventh carried out by the KPK throughout 2025.
The following is a list of the previous six KPK OTTs in 2025:
– March 2025: The first OTT recruited members of the DPRD and officials from the Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Department of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra.
– June 2025: Second OTT related to alleged bribery for a road construction project at the North Sumatra Province PUPR Service and North Sumatra Region I National Road Implementation Work Unit.
– August 2025 (7-8 August): The third OTT was carried out in Jakarta, Kendari (Southeast Sulawesi), and Makassar (South Sulawesi) regarding the alleged corruption case of the regional general hospital construction project in East Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi.
– August 2025 (13 August): Fourth OTT in Jakarta regarding alleged bribery related to cooperation in forest area management.
– August 2025 (20 August): The fifth OTT related to the case of alleged extortion of K3 certification processing at the Ministry of Manpower, involving Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan as Deputy Minister of Manpower at that time.
– November 2025 (November 3): The sixth OTT targets Riau Governor Abdul Wahid regarding alleged extortion within the Riau Provincial Government for the 2025 fiscal year.
