(PMI) from Temanggung, Central Java, named Seni, who is suspected of experiencing severe exploitation while working in Malaysia.
P2MI Minister Mukhtarudin emphasized that the country will not remain silent when migrant workers are treated inhumanely or experience exploitation abroad.

He added that KP2MI and the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur had taken quick steps, including sending a diplomatic note to the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, so that the case received the full attention of local authorities.
Legal assistance to victims is provided through lawyers appointed by the Malaysian Bar Council.
KP2MI and the Indonesian Embassy also provided direct assistance to Seni, facilitated communication with his family, and issued a travel letter like a passport (SPLP) for the victim.
Mukhtarudin admitted that he would ensure that the legal process was transparent and aligned with justice, and would continue to coordinate with the Malaysian authorities until the case was resolved.
He appealed to the public to always use official placement channels and report any violence, exploitation or fraud in the migrant worker placement process.
Seni worked for more than 20 years as a domestic worker with excessive hours without receiving sufficient salary and rest from her employer.
