In a statement released on Friday (7/11), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan confirmed that it would sign the agreement initiated by Trump in his first term as US President.

“This important decision was made solely in the interests of Kazakhstan and is fully consistent with the values of our balanced, constructive and peaceful foreign policy,” the Kazakh Foreign Ministry said in a statement, as quoted

“Joining the Abraham Accords will contribute to strengthening our country’s cooperation with all interested countries, and therefore, is in line with Kazakhstan’s strategic objectives,” continued the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Kazakhstan will continue to push for a just, comprehensive and sustainable resolution of conflicts in the Middle East in accordance with international law, United Nations (UN) resolutions and the “two-state” principle.
Trump previously announced that Kazakhstan would join the Abraham Accords and become the first country to join the agreement in his second term.
He conveyed the news via an upload on Truth Social on Thursday (6/11).
“We will soon announce a signing ceremony to make it official, and there will be many more countries trying to join this POWER club,” Trump said at Truth Social, Thursday (6/11), as quoted by Reuters.
Trump said Kazakhstan’s signing of the Abraham Accords would be announced soon.
The Abraham Accords are an agreement to normalize relations between Israel and Arab-Muslim countries that Trump brokered in his first term.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain signed this agreement in 2020. Morocco then followed at the end of the same year.
Kazakhstan already has diplomatic relations and economic cooperation with Israel.This signing is only symbolic.
