Minister of Finance (Minister of Finance)
Ancient
Yudhi Sadewa has just collected IDR 8 trillion out of a total of IDR 50 trillion-IDR 60 trillion in debt from the emplang
tax
in Indonesia.
“That’s the 200 people, so we continue to collect, the target is IDR 50 trillion, right? But we can’t do that straight away, there are installments, all kinds of things. Until now we have only collected IDR 8 trillion,” he said in a Media Briefing at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Friday (14/11).
“Some still want to pay the installments, others are still being chased. But the Rp. 50 trillion will be caught up slowly, only Rp. 8 trillion now is around. Most likely it will be collected (target Rp. 20 trillion in 2025), they shouldn’t mess with us!”continued Purbaya.

The State Treasurer emphasized that he had also started calculating regarding the realization of the 2025 APBN, including in terms of state revenue.Purbaya said the most important thing right now is to maintain the APBN deficit not exceeding 3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).
Nevertheless, Purbaya has not forgotten the state revenue target.President Prabowo Subianto’s subordinates promised to continue making efforts to collect state treasury revenues.
“There are some who have not paid their taxes in full
approaches,
we come to them so that they pay their taxes on time.”There are several hundred entrepreneurs who have not paid their taxes on time, we will send love letters to them so they pay on time,” he explained.
Apart from that, his party will also improve the quality of tax collection by improving
coretax
.
“Now (
coretax
) is better than before, it looks like that,” continued Purbaya.
The minister also commented on the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP)’s plan to look into electronic money accounts and digital accounts belonging to Indonesian people starting in 2026.
This is in line with the plan to prepare a Minister of Finance regulation to replace PMK Number 70/PMK.03/2017 concerning Technical Instructions regarding Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes.
According to him, this step will not be taken in the near future.
“Not yet, not yet. We can’t
tap
, take it directly (tax) there, right, because it’s a different world.”If we talk about ordinary digital money, it can be calculated immediately, but if we talk about crypto, all kinds of things don’t seem to be done in 2026,” explained Purbaya.
Purbaya revealed that there are already parties who have offered the Ministry of Finance to collect taxes from crypto. However, it turned out that it was not promising enough when the software test was carried out.
“We originally wanted to implement it early next year (2026), but after we see the software, we have to study it more deeply. So, it’s not that easy,” stressed the minister.
DJP previously announced that there are digital accounts and electronic money accounts that will be included in the Draft Minister of Finance Regulation concerning Technical Instructions Regarding Access to Financial Information for Tax Purposes. This follows new standards implemented by the Organization For Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD).
On the other hand, the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance also added regulatory points to prevent duplication of AEOI CRS and Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework (CARF) reporting.
