“Even if the perpetrator doesn’t consider it violence, if the victim considers it violence, then that’s what happens,” said Jung.
“I think not only me, but many people feel the same way. I am sure Lee Chung Yong, the captain and the club will convey the matter accurately,” he continued.
Responding to Jung’s accusations, Shin opened his voice. The former South Korean national team coach explained that he had a good relationship with Jung and stated that he wanted to meet the player.
“Jung Seung Hyun was my favorite student who went with me to the Olympics and World Cup. When he left Ulsan, he was the last person I met,” said Shin, quoted by Xsportsnews.
“He said goodbye by saying ‘Sorry to the coach’, ‘Sorry for not achieving results’, but I don’t know why he did an interview like that afterwards. Jung Seung-hyun is my student, and I will ask him later,” said STY.
Shin even stated that he would end his career as a coach if he was proven to have committed violence.
“If my actions were excessive and made Jung Seung Hyun feel uncomfortable, I apologize. I feel I expressed myself too much.”
“I have never been violent or spoken harshly. If that were the case, I would never be a coach again,” said Shin.
