Jokowi was previously appointed to the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board.The Bloomberg New Economy Forum will be held in Singapore on 19-21 November 2025.
The forum’s agenda will include plenary programs, group discussion sessions and networking opportunities with the main theme ‘Thriving in an Age of Extremes’.
Syarif said Jokowi was scheduled to give a speech at the forum the day after tomorrow.

After the event, Jokowi plans to immediately return to Indonesia.
“Friday, return to Jakarta,” he said.
In September 2025, Jokowi responded that he had been appointed to the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board.Jokowi said, with this appointment, he would discuss future economic challenges at the forum, one of which was the importance of economic intelligence.
“Here we will discuss the challenges ahead for the economy and maybe if there are ideas regarding what the new economy will look like in the future and I think economic intelligence is very important,” he said, Friday (26/9).
According to Jokowi, a solution will be found for every global economic challenge so that the right decisions are taken.In addition, the process will be used in making decisions.
“So it is a process to collect processes to appraise, assess, then these processes will also be used to make very fast economic decisions,” he said.
So that future economic data will be more real time and the decisions taken will also be more accurate.
“So what is called AI, what is called 5G, what is called IoT are very, very important in the future economy because everything will be economic data, as I said earlier, it will be very important to need real time and also accurate decisions and this is needed by the state and by companies,” he said.
