The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (
Jokowi
) gave a sneak peak into the contents of the speech he would deliver as speaker at
Bloomberg New Economy Forum
.
The international forum will be held on 19-21 November 2025 in Singapore.
“As the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board, I am scheduled to deliver a speech regarding the direction of Indonesia’s development and our role in the global economy next Friday,” said Jokowi via his Instagram account@

Jokowi left for Singapore last Tuesday (18/11).He is scheduled to make a speech next Friday.
Jokowi will be present at the opening session of the forum on the first day and is scheduled to take part in a number of other agendas during the event.
Apart from attending the forum, Jokowi also had an audience with Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson, and the two of them took photos together on the sidelines of the activity.
“Hopefully the cross-country and cross-sector dialogue in this forum will strengthen collaboration and encourage innovation,” he said.
Jokowi was previously appointed as a member of the Bloomberg New Economy Advisory Board, a position which allowed him to provide input on the direction of the forum’s discussions.

In this forum, 50 world figures were invited to be speakers.Among them, Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, former US Trade Minister Gina Raimondo, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, and Rwandan Minister of Trade and Industry Prudence Sebahizi.
There were also several figures from the business world, such as Google DeepMind COO Lila Ibrahim, Co-Founder and Chairman of The Nuclear Company Patrick Maloney, and Mastercard Chair of the Board Merit E. Janow.
The forum has a varied agenda ranging from plenary programs, group discussion sessions, and networking opportunities with the main theme ‘Thriving in an Age of Extremes’.
