PSSI Exco member, Endri Erawan, revealed the list of prospective coaches for the Indonesian National Team.He said that the coaching candidate in question had experience in qualifying teams for world football events.
“Coaches must go all out, meaning they must be in Indonesia more than in their country. They must have good experience of qualifying for the world cup, if necessary, live with their families in Indonesia,” said Endri at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (18/12).

With two names of potential coaches emerging, the spotlight is on John Herdman.This follows foreign media reporting that the British tactician chose the Indonesian national team instead of another country.
John Herdman has 23 years of coaching experience.He started his career with a long journey as a youth coach for the New Zealand national team.
After managing the youth team, John Herdman coached the New Zealand women’s team for 12 years from 2006 to 2018. After that Herdman expanded to the American continent with the Canadian national team.
He coached the Canadian U-23 national team in 2018 for six months before being promoted to the senior team.His career soared with Canada during their five years together.
Under Herdman’s control, Canada qualified for the 2022 World Cup. This is the Maple Leaf Team’s highest achievement since they last appeared in the 1986 World Cup.
Nevertheless, Canada was battered in the preliminary round of the 2022 World Cup Group F. Competing with elite teams such as Morocco, Croatia and Belgium, Canada only suffered defeat.
