MNC Sekuritas Technical Analyst Herditya Wicaksana said that in the best scenario, the JCI is currently considered to be in the final phase of strengthening and has the opportunity to test the 8,709 level.
However, he said, investors still need to be aware of the worst-case scenario, where a correction has the potential to bring the stock index down to the 8,410 to 8,516 range as part of the next correction phase.

“Best case, JCI is at the end of wave (iii) to test 8,709, but correction could lead to 8,410-8,516 in the worst case scenario,” said Herditya in his daily research.
With this sentiment, Herditya projects that the JCI will move in the support range of 8,592, 8,553 and resistance of 8,709, 8,769 today.He also recommended a number of stocks, namely ERAA, INDY, INTP, and PGEO.
Meanwhile, Binaartha Sekuritas analyst Ivan Rosanova sees the stock index as having a chance of being corrected and falling to fill the gap area at the 8,549-8,564 level if it fails to stay above the minor support of 8,611.
According to him, the opportunity for this weakening is still open because up to now the resistance at level 8,703 is still relatively strong.
“If the JCI fails to stay above 8,611, a correction has the potential to lead to 8,549-8,564,” said Ivan in his daily research.
He also predicts that the JCI will move at support levels 8,611, 8,564, 8,493 and 8,361, and resistance levels 8,703, 8,770 and 8,866 today.Ivan also recommended a number of stocks, namely AMRT, ASII, BBRI, TLKM, and UNVR.
JCI closed at level 8,632 on Friday (5/12) afternoon.The stock index weakened 7.43 points or minus 0.09 percent from previous trading.
Quoting RTI Infokom, investors made transactions amounting to IDR 20.47 trillion with the number of shares traded amounting to 48.21 billion shares.
At the close of last week, 362 stocks rose, 293 corrected, and 146 stagnated.
