The Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) uncovers a case of alleged fictitious claims for Work Accident Insurance (JKK)

Jakarta Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Assistant Hutamrin said that in this case his party named a woman with the initials RAS as a suspect.

“The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office has named sister RAS as a suspect,” he said in a written statement, quoted on Sunday (21/12).
Hutamrin explained that in this case RAS deceived company employees by using their identities to disburse 10 percent of BPJS.
He said RAS borrowed the employee’s identity with the promise of a fee of IDR 1-2 million.
Hutamirin said the identities borrowed ranged from KTPs, BPJS Cards, to BPJS participant accounts.To smooth out its actions, RAS collaborated with unscrupulous BPJS employees in the Jakarta area.
“That RAS falsified the complete documents for submitting a JKK Claim, namely Police Certificates, company letters, hospital letters, JKK application forms [stages 1 and 2],” he added.
However, he did not explain in detail who this RAS figure was.Hutamirin only stated that RAS is not part of or an employee of BPJS.
“He [RAS] is outside of BPJS. But he collaborates with BPJS individuals to make or submit fictitious claims against BPJS,” he concluded.
Due to his actions, investigators said the state had suffered a loss of IDR 21 billion.However, this is only a temporary calculation and could still increase.
RAS was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1), Article 3 Jo.Article 18 paragraph (1) of the Corruption Law Jo.Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code Jo.Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.He has also been detained at Pondok Bambu Detention Center for 20 days starting from Thursday (18/12).
