James Ransone is an actor who became increasingly known for his role as longshoreman turned petty criminal, Chester “Ziggy” Sabotka, in the 12 episodes of the second season of The Wire.
Throughout his role, Ziggy is easily intimidated by other low-level criminals and his fellow cargo inspectors.After taking too many insults, Ziggy loses control and kills his partner in a fit of rage.
Horrified by his actions, he waited for the police to arrive at the scene and confessed to the murder.

James Ransone’s last appearance in the series was in the final episode of the second season, where his character was seen serving time in prison.
Five years later, Ransone starred alongside Alexander SkarsgÄrd in Generation Kill.He played Marine Corporal Josh Ray Person in the seven episodes of the miniseries which tells the story of a Rolling Stone reporter joining the Marines of 1st Recon.
In 2019, Ransone played an older version of the quiet, Derry-born limousine driver Eddie Kaspbrak in It: Chapter Two.

James Ransone was born in Baltimore in 1979. He attended the Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson, Maryland, from 1993 to 1997.
He got his career breakthrough by playing a co-star in the teen drama, Ken Park (2002).He got his role in the series The Wire a year later.
