destroyed the Hajja Hamida Mosque in Deir Istiya, West Bank,
Palestine
and burned the Koran inside on Wednesday (12/11) evening local time.
According to reports, three copies of the Koran and a number of carpets in the mosque were burned.The walls of the mosque were also burned.

The settlers also defaced the walls of the mosque with special Hebrew-language messages such as “We are not afraid,” “we will take revenge again,” and “continue to denounce.”

, one of the walls looked black with burnt marks.Several Al-Qurans were also burnt, leaving behind fragments of pages.
The part that burned was area C controlled by the Israeli military.According to reports, Zionist troops were also at the location during the incident.
On the same day, a number of illegal Israeli settlers attacked the villages of Beit Lid and Deir Sharaf in the West Bank.They burned goods and other property.
The settlers are also said to have clashed with security officers who are also Israeli military.
The series of attacks sparked concern from high-ranking officials and the United States government.
The day after the incident, Israeli President Isaac Herzog called the violence shocking and serious.
“All state authorities must take a firm stance to eradicate this phenomenon,” Herzog was quoted as saying

Central Command chief Major General Avi Bluth issued a rare statement condemning the violence.
US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, also has similar concerns.
“Concerns about events in the West Bank could spill over and create impacts that could undermine what we are doing in Gaza,” Rubio said.
Illegal Israeli settlers in the West Bank have carried out hundreds of attacks on Palestinian residents and civilian objects since the invasion by Zionist forces.
Attacks have intensified in recent weeks.As of October 1, at least 167 attacks by illegal settlers occurred in Palestine.
