Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office revealed that this was the latest attack on targets in Lebanon.Previously, Israel and Hezbollah agreed to a ceasefire for a year.
“Moments ago, in the heart of Beirut, the IDF attacked Hezbollah’s Chief of Staff, who had led the construction and rearmament of the terrorist organization,” the prime minister’s office said in a statement, Sunday (23/11), reported

The AFP report revealed that the attack destroyed the third and fourth floors of a nine-story building.An ambulance was immediately alerted to the location and a rescue team checked the apartment units.
According to a report by the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), three missiles were fired towards buildings in the Haret Hreik area.The missiles damaged a number of vehicles and surrounding buildings.
Sunday’s attack was the first in the area south of Beirut since June 5, when Israel attacked a drone factory belonging to Hezbollah.The attack came after an earlier attack in the southern town of Aita al-Shaab, which the Lebanese Health Ministry said killed one person.
Hezbollah was weakened after fighting with Israel, which began when the group supported its ally Hamas in Gaza in October 2023 with cross-border firefights that escalated into a full two-month war.
Lebanon has since been under pressure from Israel and the United States to disarm Hezbollah.However, the group rejected the demand.
Netanyahu said earlier on Sunday that Israel would do “everything necessary” to stop Hezbollah from restoring power in Lebanon.
