“We continue to attack terror networks on various fronts,” said Netanyahu when opening a cabinet meeting, as reported

.
“Over the weekend, the IDF struck in Lebanon, and we will continue to do whatever it takes to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its threat capabilities against us. We are doing the same in the Gaza Strip.”
Netanyahu accused Hamas of never stopping violating the ceasefire since it came into effect.According to him, Israel responded to each violation “as necessary.”
Saturday was one of the deadliest days since a United States-brokered ceasefire came into effect, following two years of ongoing war.The Israeli military said an “armed terrorist” crossed the yellow line, the boundary inside Gaza where Israeli troops are withdrawing and opened fire on Israeli soldiers.
Responding to the incident, the military said it “started attacks on a number of terror targets in the Gaza Strip”.
Netanyahu claimed Hamas had made “several attempts” to breach the border and “tried to harm the soldiers” of Israel.
“We thwarted the attempt with great force and retaliated at a very heavy price, including many terrorists who we eliminated,” he said.
Netanyahu also strongly denied the notion that Israel needs outside approval before launching military action.
“That’s a big lie. We took the decision independently. Israel is responsible for its own security,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military and internal security agency Shin Bet claimed Saturday’s attack killed the head of supplies and equipment at a Hamas production headquarters. In a joint statement, they said Alaa Haddadeh played a role in distributing weapons from Hamas headquarters to battalion and field commanders.
