Abbas Araghchi demanded that the United Nations (UN) take necessary steps regarding the actions of the United States and Israel in the 12 Day War last June.
Araghchi expressed this urge in a letter sent to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and the UN Security Council on Wednesday (12/11).
In the letter, he said President Donald Trump and other US officials bear “criminal responsibility” for the attacks five months ago.

“This is without prejudice to the individual criminal responsibility of all individuals, including within the Israeli regime, who were involved in leading, ordering, committing, or aiding, abetting, and otherwise assisting in the commission of war crimes,” Araghchi said, quoted by Reuters.
Spokespeople for the US representative and Guterres’ office did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding the Iranian foreign minister’s letter.
Before the letter was sent last week, Trump admitted he was largely responsible for Israel’s attack on Iran.
“Israel attacked first. The attack was very, very, very powerful. I take full responsibility for the attack,” Trump told media crew, quoted by Al Jazeera.
Trump then said that when Israel attacked, it was an extraordinary day for Benjamin Netanyahu’s government.
“Because this attack caused greater damage than the other attacks combined,” he said.
Israel launched a brutal attack on Iran on June 13.The attack killed top officials, top military officials and even Iranian nuclear scientists.
Iran then retaliated against the attack. The war lasted for 12 days. The US also helped by bombarding a number of Iranian nuclear sites, which Tehran later denied that there was no damage to their nuclear sites.
