This was stated by the Daily Chair of PB IPSI, Benny Sumarsono, at the release of the Indonesian silat contingent who were leaving for the SEA Games in Jakata, Wednesday (10/12).
“We prepare our athletes, our children, the best. Our target is not ambitious, the important thing is to be the overall champion,” said Benny to hitclubapk3 Indonesia.

“So, these are our best athletes who have been selected and they won the national selection and they represent Indonesia,” he explained.
A total of 13 Indonesian silat warriors will appear at the 2025 SEA Games. These athletes will be accompanied by seven coaches and six support teams while in Thailand.
In the 2025 SEA Games there are 13 gold medals up for grabs.Previously, at the 2023 SEA Games, Indonesia became the overall champion with 9 gold, 6 silver, 1 bronze.
The manager of the Indonesian national pencak silat team at the 2025 SEA Games, Nunung Syaifuddin, is confident that the overall champion target will be achieved.This is because preparations for the 2025 SEA Games are running smoothly.
“There are no challenges. We are confident. As stated earlier by the daily chairman of PB IPSI, our target is the overall champion and that is non-negotiable.”
“So, if you ask about the challenge, yes, the challenge is that during training we train extra than in previous days,” explained this TNI officer.
The pencak silat sport will be competed in the 2025 SEA Games starting December 13 2025. For four days, until December 17, it is hoped that silat will become Indonesia’s gold barn.
