Hector Souto admitted that he was not satisfied with the 2-1 victory over Malaysia in the third match
SEA Games 2025
at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium, Thursday (18/12).
Indonesia’s winning goals over Malaysia were scored by Evan Soumilena and Reza Gunawan.Meanwhile, Malaysia responded with Brian Ick’s own goal.
The victory over Malaysia means the Indonesian National Futsal Team maintains its chances of winning a gold medal at the 2025 SEA Games. Even so, Hector Souto is not too satisfied with the victory over Malaysia.

“Because my team doesn’t seem to be getting satisfactory results. Even though we got three points, it’s as if we lost this game,” said Hector Souto after the match.
“And that’s the mentality we want to build, because I think everyone saw in this game, that Malaysia didn’t try to do anything,” Souto added.
The Spanish coach assessed that his team had difficulty facing Malaysia, who defended more and wasted the ball in the match.
The Garuda squad could actually have more control over the ball and the game, but they would not be able to maximize every opportunity they got.

The Indonesian National Futsal Team will now face Thailand in the final match of the 2025 SEA Games, Friday (19/12).This match will determine whether the Indonesian national team will win a medal at the 2025 SEA Games.
