U-23 Indonesian National Team
will have a trial against a team from Africa, Mali U-23, at Pakansari Stadium, Saturday (15/11).The following is head to head versus national teams from Africa.
Throughout Indonesia’s history, not many African countries have been tested.If anything, it is dominant at senior level and the 16 to 19 year age category.
At the U-23 level, there are not many international trials because there are not many events.This category is only available to a number of countries for sporting events and the Olympics.

So far, Indonesia U-23 has never practiced a match against Mali U-23.Likewise, the Indonesian National Team has never held a friendly match.
However, for test matches against teams from Africa, they can still be tracked.One of them is the match against Morocco in the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games.
In a meeting on 19 September 2013 at Jakabaring Stadium, Palembang, Indonesia won 1-0 over Morocco U-23.Indonesia’s only goal was scored by Fandi Eko Utomo.
When they clashed for the second time in the group stage, Indonesia lost 1-2.At that time, Alfin Tuasalamony scored Garuda Muda’s goal with a penalty in the eighth minute.
These are two matches against national teams from Africa which are recorded as having played against Indonesia U-23.This also means that Indonesia U-23 is not inferior to Mali.
