Inactive Judges Djuyamto and Agam Syarif File Appeal in CPO Bribery Case

and Agam Syarief Baharudin filed an appeal after being found guilty in a bribery case related to the acquittal of three corporations in the Crude Palm Oil export case (
CPO
) and its derivatives for the period January-April 2022.
The appeal was submitted through the respective legal teams of the two defendants.
“It is true that the defendant on behalf of Djuyamto filed an appeal on Monday 8 December 2025,” said Central Jakarta District Court (PN) spokesperson Sunoto in a statement to journalists, Tuesday (9/12).

Meanwhile, Aldi Raharjo as Agam’s legal advisor explained that the appeal was being filed because the sentence handed down by the first instance court was very serious.
“We feel that the 11 year sentence is far from justice. We have been cooperative, honest from the start, and most importantly we have returned the bribe money,” said Aldi in his statement, Tuesday.
Meanwhile, former South Jakarta District Court Chairman Arif Nuryanta has not yet stated his official position.Through his attorney, he will still think about it until the appeal deadline is on Wednesday (10/12).
“So far Mr. Arif is still exercising his right to think about it for seven days after the reading of yesterday’s decision, before making a decision whether to appeal or not,” said Arif’s legal advisor, Yoshua Ferdinan Napitupulu.
On Wednesday last week, December 3 2025, the panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court consisting of chairman Efendi and member judges Adek Nurhadi and Andi Saputra sentenced Djuyamto et al to 11 years in prison and a fine of IDR 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison.
Djuyamto was also sentenced to an additional sentence in the form of an obligation to pay compensation amounting to Rp. 9.21 billion, subsidiary to 4 years in prison.
Meanwhile, Agam and Ali Muhtarom were sentenced to pay compensation amounting to Rp. 6.4 billion, subsidiary to 4 years in prison.
Djuyamto et al were declared to have been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing the criminal act of corruption, corruption, taking bribes together as punishable by Article 6 paragraph 2

Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
Djuyamto was proven to have received bribes amounting to IDR 9,211,864,000.Meanwhile, Agam Syarief and Ali Muhtarom received IDR 6,403,780,000 each.
Meanwhile, former South Jakarta District Court Chairman Arif Nuryanta was proven to have received a bribe of IDR 14,734,276,000 and North Jakarta District Court Junior Civil Registrar Wahyu Gunawan received IDR 2,365,300,000.
Arif was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison and a fine of IDR 500 million subsidiary to 6 months in prison.Arif was also subject to an additional penalty of Rp. 14.7 billion in compensation, subsidiary to 5 years in prison.
Meanwhile, Wahyu was sentenced to 11.5 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 500 million, subsidiary to 6 months in prison, plus compensation of Rp. 2.35 billion, subsidiary to 4 years in prison.
