Police officers sealed PT Multazam Sabang Group (MSG) in connection with the case

The disclosure of the case was made at a press conference by the Minister of Agriculture, Amran Sulaiman, together with a number of related parties, including from the Logistics Agency (Bulog) as well as the TNI and Polri, Sunday (23/11) afternoon.
“Earlier, we immediately called the Regional Police Chief, then the Criminal Investigation Agency, then the Regional Military Commander, the rice (warehouse) was immediately sealed, we were not allowed to leave it,” said Amran at his residence in Kalibata, South Jakarta.

Amran said that the case was revealed today when at around 14.00 WIB he received information about the incident.He said, the police moved quickly to seal the warehouse belonging to PT Multazam Sabang Group.
Until now, explained Amran, the team is still working to find parties who must be held legally responsible.
He added that this incident could hamper Indonesia’s food self-sufficiency plan which is targeted to be achieved in early December next week.
“We can say that Indonesia is self-sufficient. Don’t disturb it any more. If there is, we will definitely investigate it,” said Amran.
Apart from Sabang, Amran admitted that he received information about a similar incident in Batam.He is still confirming the veracity of the information.
“We even got a report, but we just called the Regional Police Chief for now, and someone in Batam also came in, but that can’t be confirmed yet,” he concluded.
