announced a recall of the Ioniq 6 electric car in Indonesia due to improving the quality of the charging door component.This is the second time the company has done this
recalls
Ioniq 6, but with a different case.
Previously in May 2025, Hyundai recalled the Ioniq 6, Ioniq 5 and Genesis G80 EV regarding software updates for the Integrated Charge Control Unit (ICCU) component.This is said to be an effort to improve the quality of battery charging so that it is more optimal.
This time the company explained that the recall involved the Ioniq 6 which was produced in 2022-2025.

Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID) said that this activity is the company’s commitment to maintaining customer comfort and satisfaction in Indonesia.

“This initiative is an anticipatory step to ensure that every Hyundai customer can
“continue to enjoy a safe and comfortable driving experience,” said Soerjo without disclosing the exact number of Ioniq 6 involved, citing his written statement, Tuesday (11/11).
For Frans, maintaining product reliability does not stop after the vehicle is delivered to the customer.This is said to be a guarantee of Hyundai’s responsibility for the quality of the cars it markets.
The recall process will be carried out at official Hyundai workshops throughout Indonesia by certified technicians, conforming to the company’s global standards.The construction time is estimated to be around 18 minutes per unit, depending on vehicle conditions at the location.
Frans also ensured that this program was free or free.
“Hyundai invites all Ioniq 6 owners to participate in this program to ensure the driving experience remains optimal. Further information can be obtained through the Hyundai Call Center,” said Frans.
