Houses Severely Damaged, Flood Victims in Agam Need 525 Temporary Shelters

Chief Executive of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Agam Rahmat Lasmono said the need for 525 temporary housing units was in accordance with data collection carried out in 16 sub-districts.

“From data collection, we need 525 temporary housing units for victims of flash floods, floods and landslides spread across seven sub-districts,” said Agus in his statement in Lubuk Basung, as quoted

He detailed that for flash flood victims in Palembayan District, 281 units are needed, spread across Nagari or Salareh Aia Village, 143 units, East Salareh Aia 83 units, Tigo Koto Silungkang 38 units, West Salareh Aia two units, Sipinang three units, Ampek Koto Palembayan 12 units and Baringin one unit.
In Ampek Koto District there are 46 units spread across Nagari Balingka with eight units, Koto Tuo with two units, Sungai Landia with 33 units and Koto Panjang with three units.
Meanwhile, in Malalak District there are 51 units spread across 47 units in East Malalak Nagari, two units in North Malalak and two units in West Malalak.
Furthermore, Matur District has 23 units, spread over Nagari Panta Pauh with 16 units and Matua Mudiak with seven units.In Palupuh District, 53 units are spread across Nagari Pasia Laweh, 38 units and Pagadih, 15 units.
Next, Tanjung Raya District has 83 units spread across Nagari Koto Malintang four units, Koto Kaciak one unit, Two Koto five units, Maninjau 10 units, Dalko nine units, Sungai Batang 45 units, Bayua one unit and Tanjung Sani eight units and Tanjung Mutiara District 11 units spread across Nagari Tiku Lima Jorong 11 units.
“The 525 temporary housing units are intended for victims whose houses are badly damaged or where it is impossible for them to live,” explained Agus.
The hydrometeorological disaster in Agam resulted in the deaths of 192 residents.Then, as many as seven residents are still being treated and 54 people are affected or isolated.
Meanwhile, 72 victims have not been found, spread across three people in Malalak District, two people in Tanjung Raya District, 66 people in Palembayan District, and one person in Lubuk Basung District.
Regarding the number of refugees, 5,086 people were displaced, spread across Palembayan District 1,678 people, Palupuh 128 people, Tanjung Raya 2,821 people, Ampek Koto 49 people, and Matur 350 people and Malalak 60 people
The flood also caused 493 houses to be slightly damaged, 359 houses to be moderately damaged, 806 houses to be heavily damaged, 11 places of worship affected, 69 bridges damaged and 49 roads damaged.
Apart from that, the disaster also caused 106 educational facilities to be damaged, 125 irrigation facilities to be damaged, 16 dams to be damaged, 5,025 livestock to die, and 1,813.70 hectares of agricultural land to be damaged.
