who was caught cheating on her boss at a Coldplay concert in July 2025, Kristin Cabot, finally opened her voice about the incident that caused a stir in cyberspace.
Since the incident known as #Coldplaygate, Cabot admitted to The New York Times that he had endured various humiliations and even terror for months.

“I made the wrong decision and drank a few glasses of [alcoholic] High Noon and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss,” Cabot reportedly said

“And that’s not a trivial thing. I took responsibility and I sacrificed my career for it. That’s the price I choose to pay.”
In a different interview with British media, The Times, Cabot admitted that he admired Andy Byron, who at that time served as CEO of Astronomer.
At that time, reported The Times, Cabot and Byron were both going through separation from their respective partners.However, Byron was seen back together with his wife in September 2025.
Meanwhile, Cabot admitted that she was currently undergoing an amicable separation from her second husband, Andrew, the CEO of a rum distillery and member of one of Boston’s famous families.
The moment Cabot was caught on Coldplay’s kiss cam camera admittedly immediately made him aware and think about Andrew.For him, Andrew was a good man and he was worried about embarrassing the man.Only then did he realize that he had caused a scandal with his own boss.
“I was called a whore, a home wrecker and a mercenary. My appearance was criticized, my identity exposed. For weeks, I received 500 or 600 phone calls a day,” Cabot told The New York Times.
Not only that, Cabot said paparazzi roamed in front of his house.He received death threats.Even after the #Coldplaygate noise died down, Cabot faced insults outside the house.
“They called me ‘disgusting’ and said ‘you don’t even deserve to breathe the same air as me’,” Cabot said.
“My children were afraid to be seen with me in public. They were afraid I would die and they would die too. That’s when everything fell apart,” he said.
In the interview, he vowed not to have a sexual relationship with Byron.He also said that the Coldplay concert was the first and last time they kissed.
“I was so embarrassed and so horrified,” he said.”I’m the head of HR and he’s the CEO. It’s so cliche and so terrible… We were both just sitting there with our heads in our hands, like, ‘What just happened?'”
Kristin Cabot and Andy Byron actually wanted to discuss and inform the company’s board that same evening.But cyberspace is faster.Until a few days later, Byron decided to resign.

After the investigation, the Astronomer actually asked Cabot to return to his position.However, Cabot refused and chose to resign, which he announced on July 24.Not long after, Cabot also filed for divorce from Andrew.
“I can’t imagine how I could survive as head of HR when I was a laughing stock,” said Cabot, who also said he never communicated with Byron again.
“I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really mess up. But you don’t have to be threatened with death because of it,” he said.
