) KH Miftachul Akhyar and PBNU General Chair KH Yahya Cholil Staquf alias Gus Yahya finally agreed to a new agreement after internal chaos within this organization.
The agreement was made after they attended a Syuriyah Consultation Meeting with Mustasyar at the Lirboyo Islamic Boarding School, Kediri, East Java, on Thursday (25/12).

The internal conflict at PBNU started after Miftachul Akhyar recommended that Gus Yahya resign as general chairman.This decision was the result of the PBNU’s daily Syuriyah meeting at the Aston Hotel, Jakarta, on November 20.
Syuriyah PBNU then held a plenary meeting at the Sultan Hotel Jakarta on December 9.This plenary decided Zulfa Mustofa as Acting General Chair of PBNU for the remaining term of office until the 2026 Congress.

Katib Aam of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board, Prof. Moh Nuh, said that Rais Aam and Deputy Rais Aam had accepted Gus Yahya’s apology for inviting Peter Berkowitz to the NU National Leadership Academy (AKN NU) activities.
Peter Berkowitz is considered part of the international Zionist network.By inviting him, it is tantamount to violating the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah An Nahdliyah and contradicting the Muqaddimah of the NU Basic Qanun.
Nuh said Gus Yahya admitted his careless and careless attitude.He also views this attitude as part of the NU tradition which prioritizes morals, tabayun and wise problem solving.

“Ketum and Rais Aam, with the guidance of the NU senior community and mustasyar, agreed to hold a legitimate joint conference as soon as possible,” wrote the statement.
They will also form a committee as soon as possible.This committee will discuss the time, place and technical aspects of the conference.
“The time, place and technical implementation of the Congress will be decided jointly by the General Chair and Rais Aam through a committee that will be formed jointly,” continued the account.
