Gus Yahya said this after attending the Coordination Meeting of PWNU Chairs throughout Indonesia at the Navator Hotel Surabaya, East Java, from 19.33 WIB, Saturday (22/11) evening to Sunday (23/11) at 01.00 WIB in the morning.
Gus Yahya admitted that he had not physically received the minutes document.He also assessed that the documents currently circulating digitally do not meet the organization’s official standards.

“I have not physically received any letter from Syuriyah. Yes. Until now I have not physically received it. The so-called minutes circulating on social media also do not meet the official standards of the organization’s official documents,” said Gus Yahya.
The reason, said Gus Yahya, is that official PBNU documents are usually equipped with a digital signature.This is so that the files can be truly accounted for.
“Because if an official document has a digital signature, then it can really be accounted for when it was signed by whom and so on, it can be accounted for if the signature is digital,” he said.
He also doubted the letter because it was signed manually by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Achyar.According to him, nowadays initials can be easily faked.
“If you have a manual signature, it’s possible. Nowadays, it’s very easy to make a scanned signature. So we’ll see,” he said.
Yahya Cholil Staquf or Gus Yahya is currently being hit by the issue of his impeachment from the position of General Chair of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) Executive Board
The issue of Gus Yahya’s impeachment was revealed through the PBNU Syuriyah Daily Meeting Minutes document dated November 20 2025.
The minutes document itself was signed by Rais Aam PBNU KH Miftachul Akhyar.However, the validity of the document has not been confirmed.
